Constructed with Arts Council funding to celebrate the Kirklees Festival of lights, 2014.

This installation is made from 12 mm solid birch plywood to provide a well made, strong collectors piece which will withstand the test of time.

Based on architecture from Huddersfield and surrounding areas, each hand cut and painted piece is made from 4 mm birch plywood. The individual pieces slot into the base to create a townscape scene.

There are two light strips which illuminate the scene one radiates from behind the star studded backdrop, the other glowing up from behind an urban silhouette creating a truly magical local themed wonderland.

Created by Martin of Spellbound in collaboration with Sharon Hiley of Sona Beam.

Dimensions of this particular piece are:

1240 mm l x 830 mm w x 400 mm d
